Six years ago, beginning right here at DWD Intro to Agility class, Suzanne and her “All Canadian” dog Charlie Brown began their journey into the world of Competitive Dog Agility, they just didn’t know it yet.  Although Suzanne joined the class “just for fun”, five years later things have changed somewhat. Under the instruction  and direction of Nicky Snook, Suzanne has developed a strong understanding of the foundations in agility. She and Charlie have become a team with advanced handling skills and they are currently training and competing at the Master’s Level.

Suzanne and Charlie compete regularly in Ontario and have had much success, most recently earning their Masters Title in Agility, Steeplechase and Team Relay. This past September they competed in their first UKI Canadian Open Championship. It is their current goal to compete this May at the Ontario Regional’s in the pursuit of qualifying for the 2018 Canadian National Dog Agility Championships. When competing or practicing, Suzanne believes that you must always stick to your criteria, connect with your dog and no holding back! Suzanne also has an extensive background in the sport of gymnastics, having coached children of all ages and abilities for more than 20 years. Suzanne uses this background when planning and instructing her agility classes, using stations and drills, keeping handlers and dogs busy while having FUN
