Debra Pearson has a B.A. Honours in Psychology from Concordia University and a M.Sc. in Neuroscience from McGill University. She is also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) a highly valued designation awarded by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). Thanks to her educational background in animal behavior and continuing studies in dog training (through courses and conferences), Debra incorporates the latest evidence-based training methods into her dog and puppy training along with a generous dose of humor. She is an advocate for positive reinforcement dog training and believes it should be fun for everyone (canines and humans alike). Debra volunteered for several years as a dog trainer at the Oakville & Milton Humane Society and is currently a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers (CAPPDT), the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) and is pet first aid certified by Walks n’ Wags.
